Selladoor Worldwide is dedicated to the creation of new writing and adaptations of established work, by producing at least three new pieces of theatre as part of our annual season. We believe strongly in supporting and enabling emerging new talents to bring their stories to the stage to create an engaging and diverse program of theatre.
We seek out new talent by attending a wide range of events, readings, workshops and new work and by consulting and connecting with new writing partners such as Greenwich Theatre, Beacon Arts Centre and Playwright Studio Scotland.
Whether it is a brand new narrative, or an adaptation of a famous tale, each of our projects goes through the same rigorous artistic development program to ensure we promote and sustain good quality new writing on stage.
Our associate directors and artists are a crucial tool in our mission to nurture and develop new talent, and also form part of the process of selecting the productions for each season of work.
If you have written a play or musical and would like us to consider it for production please send a hard copy to our office address, marking it for the attention of the ‘Artistic Development Team’.
If you are a theatre maker and want to be considered as a Creative for our future work, please send a copy of your CV along with a cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We aim to meet as many Creatives as we can, or at least see some of your work to help inform a longer term relationship.
