In Scotland, we work with digital media company Media Matters to create a series of dedicated outreach activities and resources for our schools audiences in Scotland.
Alongside our recent touring production of Sunset Song, classes were delivered in 61 schools and 2 colleges. These classes focussed on close textual reading and analysis alongside the production. The number of pupils reached by this programme was in excess of 1,500.
Schools from 22 of the 32 local authorities in Scotland attended performances of the production in ten theatres across the country. All of these schools received access to unique online material including interviews with cast and creatives.
83% of those visited by our Scottish team rated their experience as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’: figures that we are constantly striving to improve upon.
