Adam Paulden


Adam is a producer of worldwide, commercial entertainment for the stage and screen.

He is currently producing the first ever stage adaptation of the Sony/ScreenGems movie, Burlesque, which will premiere in the US in 2020, marking the tenth anniversary of the movie’s release. He is also producing the world premiere play adaption of The Last King of Scotland, based on the award-winning novel by Giles Foden and subsequent Oscar-winning film starring Forest Whittaker and James McAvoy. 

Other upcoming projects include the smash hit musical, Rock of Ages which tours the UK, Ireland and international territories from September 2018; the UK, Ireland and international tour of Fame! touring from July 2018; a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Company in the West End, starting September 2018 prior to Broadway transfer; a UK tour of the classic farce, Boeing Boeing in 2019 and international tours of The Wedding Singer, based on the Adam Sandler movie, further to its UK Tour, which Adam produced in 2017/18.

Adam is also developing a new musical version of Sherlock Holmes for international markets from 2019 as well as a slate of other theatre and film projects.

Adam was the General Manager for Kenny Wax Ltd for seven years, overseeing the multi-Olivier award-winning productions of Top Hat and The Play That Goes Wrong. Prior to this he worked at Company Pictures (on Channel 4’s Skins) and at Paramount Pictures International in script acquisition and co-production. Adam also worked as an Actor from his early teens, appearing in over 12 radio plays for BBC Radio 4 and 5. He graduated with an English Degree from the University of Nottingham.

Adam has produced two TV comedy pilots and has been a guest speaker on various panels including a ‘Business of Theatre’ seminar at BAFTA.
