Emma Brunton

Puppet Director

Emma trained at Central School of Ballet and through her career has developed specializations in trapeze, aerial dance and puppetry. She has worked with various puppet makers and designers including Stitches and Glue, Max Humphries, Nick Barnes Puppets, Toby Olie and Tahra Zafar. Her credits as Puppet/Movement Director include The Christmasaurus (Tom Fletcher), La Cenerentola (Opera Holland Park and Danish National Opera), Pages (Pacific Playhouse) and Boris and Sergey II (Pleasance Courtyard). As a performer she has worked with Blind Summit, Scottish Ballet, The Royal Opera, English National Opera, Glyndebourne, The Hanger Arts Trust, Decca Records and on several productions with Will Tuckett including TheWind in the Willows, Pinocchio,Faeries, Sitting Room Circus and The Crane Maiden. She has worked as Assistant Choreographer to Will Tuckett on The Thief of Baghdad, Pleasure’s Progress, Faeries,The Wind in the Willows, The Secret Garden (Sarasota Ballet),Pinocchio (The National Ballet of Canada),Elizabeth(The Royal Ballet) and, as associate choreographer, West Side Story(Sage Gateshead) and The Soldier’s Tale(Parco, Japan). She is currently co-directing a puppetry/circus family theatre production for Elusive Circus.
